What Our Fans Are Saying About Us
As a mother of children on the spectrum, it is extremely heartwarming to find a music studio that provides so much acceptance, kindness, patience, and a safe space for my kids to explore their talents. My teen daughter has been taking voice lessons for less than six months, and in this time her growth in confidence and ability have been remarkable! My 10 year old son has been taking piano lessons also for less than six months, and at each lesson he is met with kindness and patience, right wherever he is at that day.
Thank you, Music With Confidence, for putting your confidence into our family!

[About "Oliver" the musical 7.20.23 at Hug High School Theater): Kathy Walton (Pres. of Reno Pops): "Your production last night was marvelous. You pulled it together as did all of your cast and crew. I hope you have full houses tonight and tomorrow night."
Mariposa Language and Learning Academy had the great fortune to work collaboratively with Music with Confidence. The enrichment programming that our students accessed was based on music, dance, and art. Their daily interactions with the amazing MWC staff not only provided enrichment, the lessons were infused with social emotional learning, reading, science, technology, and math. Our time with Music with Confidence was second to none and we look forward to our future work together to offer programming to our students!

People who discover their worth in childhood, compound that knowledge over time. So enriched, adults spread their wealth in the service of others. We may see this in practice at the events of Music with Confidence. Last night's "Ovation" performance was an investment in budding talent and rousing jewels of excellence. While the icing was indistinguishable from the cake, my goose bump moments included Johanne Richard's violin performance of "Meditation," accompanied by her distinguished father, Dr. Jean Robert Richard, "Think of Me" song from "Phantom of the Opera" by the 16 year-0ld Hug High School Vocalist of the Year award winner, and the unforgettable "Sisters" song from the movie "White Christmas" by Johanne Richard and our beloved Diana Hoffman.
Diana Hoffman and her dedicated band of accomplished musicians and volunteers are building their legacy in the minds and hearts of the children and adults they serve. Diana is an attorney, an author, musician, philanthropist through Rotary International, experienced vocalist and choreographer on the American stage, and mensch. How fortunate she has chosen our region in which to share her gifts through Music with Confidence.

Our son has been attending piano lessons with Mr. Ed Chevalley over a year. He loves his class and never wants to miss it. He is always happy after his class asking if he can have a longer session.
Our family is fortunate to have found Music with Confidence. The environment is very welcoming and positive. We look forward seeing Mrs. Diana and her therapy dog Ciara too.
Children have the opportunity to join plays and explore their talents in acting and singing. Music with Confidence offers a Summer Camp where children can learn from acting experts and other fun art activities.
I have noticed our son grow his passion for piano and music. He flourishes and gains more confidence the better he gets at playing the piano.
Thank you, Mr. Ed for your patience and amazing talent!

My daughter has been taking voice lessons for over a year with Ms. Diana at Music With Confidence, and it has been such a positive experience for her. In that time, Diana has helped her grow and develop her technique and to expand her voice over a range of genres. My daughter has also become more confident with singing and in her own voice, as well as improved in her performing abilities. She has gone on to successfully perform in musical theater and choir, much of which can be attributed to the lessons she’s received at Music With Confidence. I would highly recommend them!

I love MWC, the work they are doing with the children is very good, with the lessons and inviting them to participate in recitals and musicals!! Wow! It has been a fantastic experience for us as a family and my daughter liked it a lot.
This has helped my daughter feel more confident in public and her self esteem has gone up a lot.
I have another little girl who is very attentive to her sister's classes, and although she still can't take lessons because of her age. She looks very motivated, and sings, and tries to repeat what her sister does.
It has been a blessing.

I work in the mental health and education fields and thoroughly value the arts for all children and adults. With that being said, finding and working with the organization, Music With Confidence has been an amazing experience for our family. I have three children of my own, two of whom are in need of accommodated environments. My daughter, Scottlyn, who is only six years old, has diagnosed ADHD and anxiety. We have been working with both therapy and medication, but something was missing: the ability to interact with peers and use the skills she has been trying to gain. We had previously tried a series of dance classes at another studio when she was about four years old. This ended quite poorly, as the staff did not know how to work with neurodivergent children. Needless to say, I was hesitant to try any type of group instructed arts again even though I value the experiences. Then, my good friend mentioned that her children were going to Music With Confidence and thriving. She said that Scottlyn would be nurtured and encouraged in a compassionate environment. There was an opportunity for Scottlyn to join a camp with a renowned choreographer. I walked through my own anxiety and pursued this opportunity for my daughter. I am more than ecstatic that I followed this lead. Scottlyn was taken in by Diana, Diana's advanced therapy dog, the other girls, and choreographer to learn the moves and have a part in the recital. I was taken by surprise how ingenious this group was to help Scottlyn fit in perfectly. There was some confusion and hesitancy at times with Scottlyn, so they created a "Thinker" role for her for when she was unsure of what to do. I am continuing with the individualized sessions for Scottlyn to continue her access to the arts. Her ability to be creative and expressive in a safe and caring environment to grow her confidence and connections to herself and others is invaluable. Thank you, Music With Confidence!

We enrolled our girls in Music with Confidence hoping they would get a chance to explore their interests and what they got in return was so much more. Our oldest who is 15, struggles with social situations and is very shy around new people. Jamie has helped her with guitar, learning a song she was interested in, then ultimately preformed and SANG it in front of a group of people. She has been able to make friends and overall she has had a blast! Our younger daughter who is 11, also struggles with generalized anxiety, and working with Jordan and Diana she has blossomed. She took front of the stage for the dance performance and has become a leader for some of the younger girls. We are so grateful to Music with Confidence!
Thanks,
Kim
Diana and J.C. at Music with Confidence have been such a blessing for my daughter. Bringing out talents she never knew she had, and giving support in more ways than just in class!
