About Our CoursesIn every sense, the student’s personal development is emphasized with positive affirmations. The student is taught in individual classes. The pandemic restrictions are enforced to ensure safety and healthy environment. When it is safe to do so, the student may perform in recitals and MUSIC WITH CONFIDENCE produced shows (e.g.OLIVER, The Musical). No student is “forced” to perform but encouraged once they have the self-confidence to do so. Courses may be split so that the student can learn more than one subject (e.g. singing and arts/crafts)

Mariposa Language and Learning Academy had the great fortune to work collaboratively with Music with Confidence. The enrichment programming that our students accessed was based on music, dance, and art. Their daily interactions with the amazing MWC staff not only provided enrichment, the lessons were infused with social emotional learning, reading, science, technology, and math. Our time with Music with Confidence was second to none and we look forward to our future work together to offer programming to our students!

I work in the mental health and education fields and thoroughly value the arts for all children and adults. With that being said, finding and working with the organization, Music With Confidence has been an amazing experience for our family. I have three children of my own, two of whom are in need of accommodated environments. My daughter, Scottlyn, who is only six years old, has diagnosed ADHD and anxiety. We have been working with both therapy and medication, but something was missing: the ability to interact with peers and use the skills she has been trying to gain. We had previously tried a series of dance classes at another studio when she was about four years old. This ended quite poorly, as the staff did not know how to work with neurodivergent children. Needless to say, I was hesitant to try any type of group instructed arts again even though I value the experiences. Then, my good friend mentioned that her children were going to Music With Confidence and thriving. She said that Scottlyn would be nurtured and encouraged in a compassionate environment. There was an opportunity for Scottlyn to join a camp with a renowned choreographer. I walked through my own anxiety and pursued this opportunity for my daughter. I am more than ecstatic that I followed this lead. Scottlyn was taken in by Diana, Diana's advanced therapy dog, the other girls, and choreographer to learn the moves and have a part in the recital. I was taken by surprise how ingenious this group was to help Scottlyn fit in perfectly. There was some confusion and hesitancy at times with Scottlyn, so they created a "Thinker" role for her for when she was unsure of what to do. I am continuing with the individualized sessions for Scottlyn to continue her access to the arts. Her ability to be creative and expressive in a safe and caring environment to grow her confidence and connections to herself and others is invaluable. Thank you, Music With Confidence!

We enrolled our girls in Music with Confidence hoping they would get a chance to explore their interests and what they got in return was so much more. Our oldest who is 15, struggles with social situations and is very shy around new people. Jamie has helped her with guitar, learning a song she was interested in, then ultimately preformed and SANG it in front of a group of people. She has been able to make friends and overall she has had a blast! Our younger daughter who is 11, also struggles with generalized anxiety, and working with Jordan and Diana she has blossomed. She took front of the stage for the dance performance and has become a leader for some of the younger girls. We are so grateful to Music with Confidence!
Thanks,
Kim
Diana and J.C. at Music with Confidence have been such a blessing for my daughter. Bringing out talents she never knew she had, and giving support in more ways than just in class!
